Peach Buttermilk Ice Cream
Luscious, juicy peaches come together with the slight tang of buttermilk in a cool and creamy concoction that is the perfect summertime treat.
1 1/2 pounds peaches, peeled and sliced
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt
Using a food processor or blender, puree the peach slices until smooth.
In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients until sugar dissolves. Pour mixture into an ice cream machine and follow maker’s instructions.
Yields 1 quart.
